Nice state park, clean restrooms and showers in the campground. Showers are free and have hot water. Good hiking trail from the special use area (group camping). Lots of shade at the campsites.

Very quiet and woodsy, clean, not much traffic but patrolled frequently by park ranger and police for safety.

I recently discovered Robertsville State Park and found it to be enjoyable. I visited with my mother. Upon arrival we went to the main building but no one was working there at the time. There were a few parked cars near the building but we never saw anyone who worked there. During our stay we only ever saw one lady who was walking her dogs. Maybe just the day of the week we went was slower. We walked the Spice Bush trail. Not sure when the last time someone came through that particular trail because in the pathway lay spider webs. So we had to take a stick and gently detach them from the pathway. All in all a nice State Park and I would recommend a visit.

Love going to this little retreat that is relatively close to St. Louis. Stayed there in a 23 ft travel trailer a few weekends ago and it was an absolutely perfect weekend getaway. Sites can be a little tight to get into. I would not recommend Site #3 for anyone with an RV. It is a pull through basic site and is quite narrow with a steep grade into and out of the site. I did not use the bathrooms this time, but every time I have, they have been very clean. The park has two walking trails that are very scenic and not challenging, and has excellent river access with fishing as well. There is a Dollar General just a couple minutes away if you forget anything. Last but not least, our campground hosts were AMAZING! Very pleasant, talkative, and helpful. Can't wait to go back for another campout before the weather gets too cold!

Nice size park. Has River access with a boat ramp. Play area gazebo camp ground fishing pond and various hiking trail. The hours do vary from summer to winter so something to be keep in my mind.
